Dr. Holthaus

Dr. Holthaus has been a Licensed Clinical Psychologist since 2007. She received her M. A. and Ph. D. from Pacifica Graduate Institute in Santa Barbara and did her Clinical Pre and Post Doc Internships at Tarzana Treatment Centers. Dr. Holthaus became a certified EMDR Therapist in 2014 and has enjoyed adding this to the list of treatments offered. Dr. Holthaus grew up in Los Angeles and the Santa Ynez Valley and began working at the SYTHC in 2008. She returned to the Clinic this year, after a 2-year hiatus and is very happy to be back. She is a mother to three wonderful sons and loves living in the beautiful Santa Ynez Valley, being active and outdoors while not at work.

Dr. Joel Morton

Dr. Joel MortonDr. Morton received his medical degree from the College of Osteopathic Medicine of the Pacific in 1984. He completed an internship in Internal Medicine at USC where he also completed his residency in General  Psychiatry in 1988. Dr. Morton furthered his training and completed a fellowship in Child Neuropsychiatry at Children’s Hospital in Los Angeles in 1990, where he served as Chief Resident. Dr. Morton is a life-long resident of Southern California and enjoys the beach, woodworking, and classical music.

Cecily Murrieta

Cecily MurrietaCecily is a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist who grew up in Santa Barbara, CA. Cecily graduated from Sacramento State University with her Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education in 2013. Cecily then completed her Masters degree in Marriage and Family therapy from Pacific Oaks College in 2018. Cecily recently graduated from the Chicago School of Professional Psychology where she obtained her Doctoral Degree in Psychology with a specialization of Marriage and Family Therapy.

Cecily has experience working with adolescents and adults. Cecily is an informed Dialectical Behavioral Therapist which assists individuals struggling with emotional dysregulation.  After spending almost six years working in the greater Los Angeles area, Cecily moved back to Santa Barbara County and is excited to be part of the SYTHC team. In her free time Cecily enjoys spending time with her family,  at the beach or going on hikes.

Marvin Catha

Marvin Catha is a descendant of the Gila River Indian Community in Sacaton Arizona. He has been with the Santa Ynez Tribal Health Clinic since September 2010 and has been working in the Behavioral Health Department as the Prevention Counselor. Marvin Catha got his certification through the University of Pacific in Stockton , California attending night classes while working as a part-time House Manager for Native Directions Inc. in Manteca, California. In his off time, Marvin enjoys going to the gym, movies and food!
